As an Art Psychotherapist, I care for my clients’ mental wellness through art, providing a path for healing, nourishing and cultivation.

What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy combines creative process and psychotherapy, fostering self-exploration and comprehension. Through art, individuals can connect with and express thoughts and feelings that might be difficult with verbal language.

As an art therapist, I endeavour to care for mental wellness with art in gaining insights, increasing self-awareness, strengthening self-esteem, managing stress, enhancing interpersonal skills and problem-solving for clients.

Who can benefit from Art Therapy?

Art therapists work with individuals, couples, families and groups from diverse backgrounds and age groups. Studies demonstrating the efficacy of art therapy in areas such as:

What We Provide

Individual

(50 minutes/per session)

I craft personalized plans to suit your unique needs. Whether you’re seeking support for managing stress, exploring personal growth, or overcoming challenges, I tailor each session to align with your goals. You can utilize any art materials you already have, as we integrate creative expression into our therapeutic journey.

Group

(4 sessions total, 120 minutes per session)

Each group circles around a specific theme tailored to current demand. Group Art Therapy consists of a series of sessions designed for consistent participation by the same group members, fostering a close-knit circle. It provides a safe environment where participants can connect with others in a supportive community setting.

Open Art Studio

(90-120 Minutes per session)

The focus of Open Art Studio is providing a space for artistic expression rather than therapeutic purposes. You do not need to register for a full cycle of therapy, allowing you to join sessions at your convenience. Each session might bring together diverse participants, fostering a dynamic environment of shared creativity and exploration.

Depending on your private insurance policy, you may be able to receive reimbursement for session fees (Quebec Only).

Therapy sessions are conducted in English or Mandarin.
